Summary
Fyst is building a production-ready payment orchestration platform with smart routing and 50+ PSP integrations at launch stage. This Lead Product Manager role owns product strategy and execution end-to-end, taking the platform from early stage to scale. The position requires deep expertise in card acquiring and modern payment ecosystems to drive conversion, approval rates, cost optimization, and reliability.
What you'll do
- Own product strategy, positioning, and roadmap for orchestration platform, cashier, routing logic, and provider integrations
- Build and run product operating system: discovery, prioritisation, delivery, measurement with OKRs and dashboards
- Translate acquiring and PSP domain knowledge into concrete product decisions: routing rules, retries, cascading, failover, BIN/geo logic, 3DS strategies
- Drive core payment performance metrics: approval rate, conversion, auth rate, soft-decline recovery, chargebacks, fraud, latency, uptime
- Lead end-to-end product discovery with merchants, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Define product requirements and specifications ensuring high-quality delivery with Engineering and QA
- Own provider integration strategy: prioritisation, standardisation, connector quality, certification, monitoring
- Partner with Risk and Compliance on KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions, PSD2/SCA compliance flows
- Collaborate with Growth and Commercial teams on pricing, packaging, and merchant activation
- Leverage AI tools to optimise product workflows and delivery efficiency
- Build and lead a high-performing product team with strong execution and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Must-have: Strong hands-on understanding of card acquiring: authorisation flows, clearing & settlement, dispute lifecycle, scheme rules
- Solid knowledge of PSP and payment stack concepts: gateways, orchestration, tokenisation, webhooks, reconciliation, reporting
- Proven experience as Product Lead, Head of Product, or Group PM in fintech/payments with clear ownership of outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to design products using metrics and conversion optimisation
- Proven experience using AI tools to optimise workflows with concrete impact examples
- Strong stakeholder management: aligning Sales, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering
- Excellent written communication with crisp specs and structured thinking
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high autonomy and senior-level accountability
- Experience delivering products through effective people management
- Nice-to-have: Experience building payment orchestration platforms, gateways, or routing engines
- Knowledge of alternative payment methods and cross-border/multi-currency setups
- Experience managing 50+ provider integrations and connector frameworks
- Familiarity with PSD2/SCA, 3DS2 optimisation, fraud tooling, and chargeback prevention
