Senior Java Engineer

N-iX is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join an AI project for a California-based e-commerce leader. The role involves designing and developing a robust Kotlin framework and platform for configuring and managing AI agents.

• Design and develop a robust and extensible Kotlin framework and platform for configuring and managing AI agents
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that complies with coding standards
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the framework/platform
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and errors
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the framework/platform

Required:

• At least 5 years of proficiency in Kotlin or Java
• Deep experience with Spring Framework
• Reactive tools experience (Project Reactor)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (REST, GraphQL, gRPC)
• Experience with distributed systems
• Familiarity with tracing, metrics, and monitoring best practices
• Experience creating frameworks and platforms for other developers
• Proficiency in Maven or similar tools
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases
• Very good spoken and written English (C1)

Nice to have:

• GenAI, AI agents, machine learning, and natural language processing concepts
• Experience with MCP, A2A, RAG
• Event-driven architecture experience
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Python experience
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
