REMOTE - HR Representative
Summary
Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an HR Representative to provide administrative and support services to associates during their Leave of Absence (LOA). The role focuses on accurate leave administration, policy guidance, and high-quality customer service using HR systems and coordination with internal partners and vendors.
What you'll do
Process and update leave of absence transactions, including approvals/denials, benefit elections, adjustments/corrections, and case/letter generation.
Respond to associate inquiries via phone, email, LOA inbox, and voicemail; deliver professional customer service and explain applicable LOA policies.
Enter and maintain LOA data in systems such as PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, Sedgwick ViaOne, and internal case management tools; perform accurate data entry and documentation.
Coordinate with internal partners and vendors (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, HR Services) to ensure smooth leave administration and timely issue resolution.
Review and process pay/benefits-related forms and communications connected to leaves.
Gather and provide critical data (e.g., case notes, LOA dates) to support compliance efforts, legal matters, and legal holds when needed.
Create reports and letters (e.g., benefit payment/exhaust process) and provide reporting to monitor department workload.
Cross-train and provide backup support to other LOA team members; assist with training evaluation and process improvement efforts as needed.
Stay current on company training and changes in federal/state guidelines affecting leave administration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Skills: Strong customer service, verbal/written communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with sound judgment.
Experience (preferred): Leave of Absence administration and knowledge of applicable laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, CA CFRA, Pregnancy, Military).
Tools: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficiency with Excel and PeopleSoft; experience with online systems/databases (e.g., ServiceNow, Sedgwick ViaOne) and HR systems.
Domain knowledge: Familiarity with benefits and payroll practices.
Work style: Ability to work independently and collaboratively; willingness to learn and ask questions; maintains positive working relationships with internal/external partners.
Conditions
Work arrangement: Remote within the United States; cannot be performed in the State of Colorado or in New York City.
Work environment: Primarily computer-based office work; requires sitting/standing/walking, typing, phone communication, and participation in in-person and remote meetings.
Attendance: Consistent timeliness and regular attendance required.
Compensation: Base pay range stated as $22.69–$32.79 (additional total rewards vary by position and location).
