Summary
San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (San Diego International Airport) is hiring an Associate Asset Manager within the Finance & Airline Relations department. The role supports administration and compliance of airport real estate agreements with airlines and related tenants to ensure space use, operational needs, and financial terms remain aligned and deliver expected value.
What you'll do
- Support administration of airport real estate agreements by researching terms, preparing documentation, and ensuring alignment with Authority policies and program requirements
- Manage assigned airline and tenant accounts as primary point of contact; track compliance with financial obligations, reporting requirements, and operational standards
- Monitor tenant spaces and conduct inspections to confirm leased areas are used according to agreement terms and Authority policies
- Review and coordinate routine tenant improvement projects to align with lease provisions, operational needs, and airport standards
- Assist Asset Managers with negotiations, transactions, and RFPs; help prepare and administer routine airport-related agreements
- Serve as liaison between tenants and internal stakeholders to support projects, resolve operational issues, and maintain cross-department alignment
- Investigate and support resolution of tenant or public concerns related to leased spaces, agreements, or operational matters
- Identify opportunities to improve asset utilization, tenant services, and operational efficiency by understanding links between agreements, space usage, and billing systems
Requirements
- Experience: 3 years of progressively responsible professional business experience, including at least 2 years involving commercial/industrial asset management, property management, and/or real estate development (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college/university in business or public administration, finance, real estate, or closely related field
- Skills: relationship management; written and verbal communication; lease/contract interpretation; analytical thinking; time management and coordination; problem solving and agility; integrity and accountability
- Preferred: Master’s degree or JD; PMP/CAPM or Airport Certified Employee (ACE)
Conditions
- Schedule: Hybrid (mix of on-site and remote); on-site days required based on department needs
- Worksite: Airport Authority Administration building on the San Diego International Airport campus
- Salary range: hiring range $95,109–$101,767 annually (full range $73,161–$117,057)
