Machine Learning Engineer (TTS)

Aiphoria is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Text-to-Speech (TTS) to join their expanding team. The role focuses on designing and optimizing TTS models for natural and accurate voice synthesis in their voice assistant products.

• Design and optimize TTS models to ensure natural and accurate voice assistant output
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate TTS technology seamlessly for users
• Partner with data teams to build efficient audio data pipelines, including speaker recording and preprocessing to model training
• Update and refine TTS models to adapt to various accents, dialects, and speech styles
• Stay current with latest TTS advancements and implement innovative techniques
• Rigorously test and validate models to meet strict quality standards

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Text-to-Speech (TTS) and speech synthesis
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks, especially PyTorch
• Strong understanding of speech synthesis processing techniques
• Experience with FastAttention-Based Models (FastPitch, FastSpeech 2) and modern variative approaches (VITS, Glow-TTS)
• Strong understanding of prosody, rhythm, and emotional tone control for expressive speech synthesis
• Knowledge of normalization techniques, FSTs, and neural networks for normalization
• Familiarity with TTS evaluation techniques including MOS and A/B testing
• Familiarity with vocoder models (Vocos, HiFi-GAN, Mimi)
• Knowledge of signal processing, statistical modeling, and language structure
