Summary
NuxGame is an iGaming software company helping casino operators access new markets and enhance their brands. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimize high-load, highly available server-side platforms and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
What you'll do
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize high-load, highly available server-side platforms (Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL, Redis, message queues)
- Architect and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms and containerized workloads (Docker, Helm, GitOps)
- Design and operate secure network infrastructure with DDoS protection and WAF strategies (Cloudflare, rate-limiting, bot protection)
- Build and maintain observability stack: metrics (VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus), APM (New Relic, OpenTelemetry), centralized logging and alerting
- Implement firewalls (iptables, UFW, security groups, NACLs) and reverse proxies/L7/L4 load balancers
- Design, implement and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Automate infrastructure and platform lifecycle using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
- Participate in architecture design, reliability engineering and capacity planning
- Ensure security, compliance and audit readiness (PCI DSS, secrets management, access control)
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Strong hands-on Linux expertise (Debian, Ubuntu, systemd, networking, performance tuning)
- Deep experience with AWS: compute (EC2, ASG, EKS), networking (VPC, LB, peering), managed databases (RDS Aurora), messaging (SQS, Kafka)
- Strong database operations knowledge: MySQL HA, replication, backup
- Production experience with Kubernetes (cluster architecture, HA, upgrades, disaster recovery)
- Advanced CI/CD experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps practices
- Strong Cloudflare expertise: DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (mandatory), Ansible (configuration and automation)
- Scripting and automation in Bash and Python
- Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals (TLS, IAM, VPN, firewalling, zero-trust)
- Experience working in regulated environments or with security standards (PCI DSS is a plus)

- Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere with core hours 09:00/10:00 to 17:00/18:00 (Kyiv time), Mon-Fri
