They are hiring a full-time Video Editor to turn raw footage into story-driven narratives that drive impact, emotion, and action while supporting a fast-paced media team.

What you'll do

  • Edit short- and long-form videos for YouTube, social media, podcasts, and online courses.
  • Apply transitions, titles, captions, color correction, audio cleanup, and pacing aligned to platform best practices.
  • Use creative storytelling techniques to elevate raw footage.
  • Add motion graphics, music, and sound design consistent with brand voice.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and talent to deliver final cuts.
  • Contribute to planning (brainstorming, scripting, content layout) and participate in reviews, feedback sessions, and postmortems.
  • Organize and manage media libraries, B-roll, templates, and assets; maintain brand consistency (style, palette, design).
  • Export deliverables in multiple formats and resolutions for different channels.
  • Stay current on digital media trends and platform requirements; adapt editing based on performance metrics (CTR, watch time, engagement).
  • Deliver projects on time to internal creative and strategic standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience editing video for online platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or comparable tools.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form (e.g., reels) and long-form (e.g., YouTube) work.
  • Deep understanding of pacing, structure, and storytelling.
  • Strong time management and file organization skills.
  • Comfort working with fast feedback loops and multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Preferred: experience editing for personal brands/coaches/high-growth media startups.
  • Preferred: familiarity with DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, and/or color grading workflows.
  • Preferred: light graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Preferred: interest in personal development, entrepreneurship, or creator economy.

Conditions

  • Full-time role.
  • On-site work required in Kelowna, BC (despite “Remote” noted in the posting).
