Full Stack Web Engineer, AI, Node.js

VARTEQ is seeking a Full Stack Web Engineer to join a fast-moving team building an appointment scheduling application for merchants on the Payroll platform. You'll design and build scalable web applications while leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to ship features quickly and cost-effectively.

• Design and build a merchant-facing appointment scheduling app from the ground up
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with proper testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Continuously improve code quality through regular refactoring, debugging, and performance enhancements
• Participate in an on-call rotation to handle critical incidents and maintain system uptime

• 5+ years of solid experience with React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated ability to ship production-ready features quickly without sacrificing quality
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) - must-have
• Strong product sense and understanding of what "good enough to ship" looks like
• Nice to have: Production experience with AWS and understanding of security best practices
