HPC Architect

Quantori is seeking an HPC Architect to design and implement high-performance computing solutions. This role focuses on architecting scalable HPC clusters, optimizing network connectivity, and ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on-premises environments for enterprise R&D applications.

• Implement high-performance networking solutions including private dedicated connectivity and low-latency HPC interconnects (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect, AWS EFA, Azure HPC fabrics)
• Architect and deploy scalable HPC clusters using cloud-native managers (AWS ParallelCluster, Azure CycleCloud, Google Cloud Cluster Toolkit) with seamless on-premises scheduler integration
• Define and maintain containerization standards using Apptainer or Singularity for binary compatibility across heterogeneous hardware
• Design high I/O workloads with parallel file system patterns (AWS/GCP/Azure Managed Lustre, self-managed Lustre/GPFS/BeeGFS) ensuring observability and operational excellence

• Knowledge of HPC-with-cloud integration strategies and technical feasibility planning
• Strong understanding of regulated enterprise R&D environments
• Understanding of scientific computing reproducibility requirements
• Deep understanding of Amazon VPC, Google Cloud, and Azure networking, peering, and security configurations
• Experience with HPC schedulers and orchestration patterns (Slurm, cloud HPC cluster orchestration)
