Summary
Kansas Office of Judicial Administration is hiring a Transcriptionist for the 6th Judicial District. The role produces and certifies accurate transcripts of judicial proceedings and supports transcript request processing and records management.
What you'll do
Produce accurate transcripts of judicial proceedings from tape and digital recordings.
Certify the correctness of prepared transcripts.
Process transcript requests and conduct written correspondence with requestors.
Maintain records and filing systems for storage and retrieval of transcripts.
Perform administrative duties as assigned under the supervision of the Court Administrator.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of court-related experience.
1–2 years of typist experience preferred, including knowledge of transcript preparation formats and requirements.
Experience with computer programs required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF software.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Conditions
Pay: $20.99/hour (increases to $23.16/hour after one year of successful employment).
