Summary
REI Co-op is seeking an Executive Recruiter to attract, source, and recruit diverse Director-and-above leadership talent to support current and future organizational needs. This role operates as a trusted consultant to senior HR and executive business leaders, shaping executive hiring strategies and ensuring a strong, proactive leadership pipeline.
What you'll do
- Lead all phases of sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and offer processes for Director and above roles.
- Partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities and develop executive talent strategies.
- Conduct candidate assessments, present finalists, and advise on interview and hiring approaches.
- Build and maintain a continuous pipeline of candidates for VP+ roles, including confidential pipeline benches.
- Develop and analyze recruiting metrics and trends to drive effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Champion diversity and inclusion across executive hiring practices and pipeline development.
- Advise on and support offer strategy through expertise in executive compensation structures (base, bonus, equity/LTI, sign-on, relocation).
- Apply company and competitive intelligence to improve executive talent engagement and acquisition.
- Select and manage external recruitment firms, including cost-benefit evaluation and quality control.
- Manage and maintain executive referral pipelines.
- Supervise team members within Talent Acquisition as needed.
- Lead or partner on Talent Acquisition projects with the HQ recruiting team.
- Operate with adaptability and a growth mindset in response to changing needs.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion throughout recruiting activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of leadership recruiting experience with a track record supporting DVP, VP, and SVP level positions.
Combined retained search firm and in-house executive search experience (preferred).
Ability to manage 5+ Director-level and above searches concurrently or consecutively.
Strong capability in negotiating and structuring executive compensation packages (base, bonus, equity/LTI, sign-on, relocation).
Project management skills including stakeholder engagement, program execution, and change management.
Data analysis skills leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights for decision-making.
Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate at all organizational levels.
Proactive, self-directed, and able to manage multiple competing deadlines.
Strong communication skills across methods and situations.
Comfort challenging the status quo, championing change, and influencing others.
Conditions
Pay range: $113,200–$181,100 per year (pay varies based on skills, experience, and geographic location).
