Logistics Operations Manager
Summary
Google is hiring a Logistics Operations Manager to lead and optimize daily logistics operations supporting data center and warehouse environments for Google Cloud Logistics. The role focuses on driving continuous process improvements, managing 3PL vendor performance, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to improve operational outcomes and delivery efficiency.
What you'll do
Own day-to-day logistics operations and manage 3PL vendor warehouse and data center operations in assigned locations to meet SLAs and ensure business continuity.
Manage and monitor KPIs, vendor performance scorecards, and build business cases to support logistics process changes and improvements.
Own quarterly/annual budgeting, invoice control, and capital improvement projects within assigned locations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, carriers, cross-functional teams) to reduce end-to-end delivery cycle times.
Engage Google stakeholders to align priorities and identify joint opportunities to scale efficiently and deliver performance goals.
Drive initiatives to remove obstacles for forward and reverse material flows into and out of data centers and warehouses.
Create presentations and documentation for leadership highlighting operational performance and implemented improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in a customer or client-facing operations management role supporting data center logistics.
5+ years of experience building relationships with stakeholders or clients.
5+ years of experience identifying process issues, creating solutions, and driving changes with cross-functional teams.
Preferred: MBA or Master's degree.
Preferred: 7+ years of experience managing operations across multiple locations.
Preferred: 7+ years of experience in operations management, problem-solving, 3PL vendor relationships, budget creation, and cost management.
Preferred: Experience with data center logistics.
Conditions
Full-time position.
Base salary range stated for US roles: $111,000-$159,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
Compensation varies by location, level, and job-related factors (skills, experience, education/training).
