Summary

TRIO (Translational Research in Oncology) is a global academic clinical research organization focused on advancing translational cancer research through clinical trials. The Clinical Research Associate will support oncology studies by monitoring sites for compliance, data quality, and investigational product accountability. This is a remote role based on the US West Coast with significant travel.

What you'll do

  • Monitor assigned clinical study sites to ensure adherence to ICH-GCP, local regulations, TRIO SOPs/SGs/IMs, and study protocols across multiple projects
  • Conduct pre-study site visits/calls, study initiation visits, routine monitoring visits, and site close-out visits per required procedures
  • Perform source document verification (SDV), validate CRFs, and resolve queries to ensure timely clean data for analysis
  • Maintain study information in tracking systems and provide regular site status updates and trend reporting to Monitoring Resources and Project Management
  • Oversee study drug management at sites (receipt, handling, storage, dispensing, tracking/accountability, and destruction/return)
  • Perform investigator site file reconciliation by requesting and reviewing essential documents for completeness and compliance
  • Respond promptly to site requests and maintain strong working relationships with clinical study sites

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of oncology experience as a CRA, coordinator, and/or research nurse
  • Bachelor’s degree in an allied health field (e.g., Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Science) or international equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience on an early phase trial
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical monitoring processes, and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements (asset)
  • Experience with breast, lung, gastric, and/or ovarian tumors (asset)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and meet timelines/metrics
  • Proficiency with computerized information systems, spreadsheets, word processing, and email
  • Ability to travel up to 60% on average
