Case Selector - 1st Shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
Summary
Allen Distribution is hiring a full-time Case Selector in the Operations department reporting to the General Manager. The role supports receiving and shipping processes by safely handling product using power equipment and following established SOPs and safety practices.
What you'll do
Safely operate power/material handling equipment to support receiving and/or shipping processes.
Meet account-specific productivity standards and follow stocking/picking/loading strategies.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and customer work instructions.
Use a handheld RF scanning device to scan product and verify item codes against pick/stock lists and physical product.
Complete daily Handling Hours tracking documentation.
Perform motorized equipment daily inspections prior to operation.
Follow dock safety, forklift, product-handling, safety, and security policies; perform daily stretches before starting work.
Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are error- and damage-free; complete inspection checklists as required.
Accurately complete inbound/outbound paperwork (e.g., receiving tickets, pick lists, load reports).
Report incidents, accidents, hazards, product damage, and inventory discrepancies to management/warehouse coordinator immediately.
Participate in pre-shift meetings and general housekeeping; learn multiple accounts/job functions as needed.
Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a material handling equipment license.
Ability to use a handheld RF scan device.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
Reliability and punctuality; ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Flexibility to work overtime and, when needed, weekends and holidays.
Conditions
Full-time role.
1st shift schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday; overtime when required.
Pay: up to $18.00/hour plus $1.50/hour shift differential when applicable.
