Senior Frontend Product Engineer (JS/React)

Productboard is seeking a Senior Frontend Product Engineer to build AI-ready codebases and design agent workflows that enhance product capabilities. This role focuses on making the engineering infrastructure and documentation optimal for AI agents while maintaining a strong product mindset.

• Make the codebase AI-ready by defining clear module boundaries, improving API contracts, adding semantic context, and building structured documentation for AI agents
• Design and implement advanced agent workflows including multi-step reasoning, tool use, autonomous task execution, and human-gated checkpoints
• Run experiments, validate with real users, and iterate based on evidence to measure learning velocity
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to shape product direction, bringing product mindset to technical execution
• Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, pair-program, and share learnings across teams to raise engineering standards

• 5+ years of experience building web applications
• Proficiency with single page applications built with JavaScript and React
• Experience with TypeScript, Continuous and Progressive Delivery, and Feature Flags
• Solid understanding of functional programming principles
• Confident in designing frontend architecture with passion for performance optimization
• Experience mentoring, code reviewing, and pair-programming with teammates
• Strong product thinking ability to articulate why solutions matter for users
• Daily use of AI coding assistants and comfort with AI tools in workflow
• Curiosity about agent-native architecture and how to structure codebases for AI effectiveness
