ExamWorks is a provider of examination management solutions serving the healthcare, legal, and insurance industries. The HR Generalist role supports day-to-day HR operations and employee lifecycle activities in a full-time remote capacity, ensuring compliance and a positive workplace culture.

What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes to support smooth employee transitions
  • Coordinate with IT and HRIS teams for timely system setup, access provisioning, and data accuracy
  • Generate and reconcile payroll reports, resolve discrepancies, and assist with payroll inquiries
  • Act as first point of contact for routine employee and manager HR questions (payroll, benefits, leaves)
  • Support administration and tracking of leave programs (FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves)
  • Prepare documentation and reporting for audits, client questionnaires, and RFPs to ensure compliance
  • Maintain accurate HRIS employee records, conduct periodic audits, and produce reports as needed
  • Support HR Business Partners with employee relations matters, investigations, counseling, and corrective actions
  • Oversee hiring requisition workflows, confirm approvals, and verify compensation alignment with standards
  • Help coordinate performance management activities, timelines, and leadership communications
  • Partner with HRBP and leaders on engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building
  • Monitor completion of mandatory annual training and compliance requirements
  • Perform additional HR duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in HR coordination, HR operations, or related HR roles
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paycom preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Knowledge of HR practices, payroll processes, and compliance regulations
  • Teamwork mindset with problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure
  • Ability to follow policies and adapt to changing procedures
