Senior/Lead Software Engineer (Node.js/Angular/.NET)

TechMagic is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to join a successful USA-based web project focused on payment integrity solutions for health payers. You will strengthen the engineering team by contributing to both frontend and backend development, with opportunities to influence technical direction and mentor other engineers.

• Develop and maintain features using Angular and Node.js (Express)
• Contribute to backend services and system architecture
• Strengthen the team's backend expertise and engineering maturity
• Collaborate with engineering and ETL teams on integrations and data workflows
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve system scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Share knowledge and support other engineers through mentorship

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong backend development experience
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Angular
• Previous or current experience with .NET / C#
• Experience designing and implementing backend services or APIs
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex systems
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher
• Proactive mindset and ability to take ownership of technical solutions
• Plus: AWS or cloud platform experience, healthcare systems or regulated environment experience, SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB), mentorship or technical leadership experience

Schedule: Full-time with flexible hours

Location: Remote or offices in Lviv, Kyiv, or Krakow

Team: 17-person team (9 MEAN stack developers, 8 QA, 1 PM) working with US-based client team (~10 people) in Eastern and Central time zones
