Summary
VASS is seeking a Senior Behavioral Economics Designer with 5+ years of experience applying behavioral economics principles to design solutions that positively influence user decision-making. The role involves identifying cognitive biases and behavioral patterns to create strategies that drive desired user behaviors through ethical and responsible design practices.
What you'll do
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify cognitive biases, behavioral patterns, and deep user motivations to inform design strategies
- Translate behavioral insights into concrete design interventions such as nudges, choice architecture, motivation dynamics, and persuasive design
- Design and implement A/B tests and controlled behavioral experiments to optimize user experience and product outcomes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, Product, Data, and Research teams
- Apply behavioral frameworks (COM-B, Fogg Behavior Model, MINDSPACE, EAST, Prospect Theory) to product and experience solutions
- Communicate complex behavioral concepts to non-technical stakeholders through clear storytelling
Requirements
- Education in Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Cognitive Sciences, Sociology, Design, or related fields
- Mastery of behavioral frameworks: COM-B, Fogg Behavior Model, MINDSPACE, EAST, and Prospect Theory
- Deep knowledge of cognitive biases, heuristics, motivation, and decision-making processes
- Ability to translate psychological insights into strategic product and experience solutions
- Experience designing and implementing A/B tests and behavioral experiments
- Solid knowledge of UX, research, design thinking, and interaction design
- Strong analytical capabilities, data interpretation, and evidence-based storytelling
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex behavioral concepts to non-technical audiences
