Summary
Mellivora Software is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps) to maintain and scale their AI infrastructure platform during Europe/Eastern European business hours. Working remotely as part of the SRE team, you will ensure reliability and uptime of hybrid Linux environments and AI infrastructure outside California business hours.
What you'll do
- Ensure reliability and scalability of AI infrastructure platform and hybrid Linux environments
- Manage Linux infrastructure to maximize uptime
- Conduct performance and reliability testing, including configuration and hardware specification reviews
- Advance technology stack with innovative ideas and creative solutions
- Participate in capacity management of core systems and services, application analysis, performance and security tuning
- Build automation to remediate and address root causes of service issues
- Create strategies for long-term permanent fixes to critical production incidents
- Maintain documentation, build tooling, and create alerts for infrastructure reliability
- Proactively identify system anomalies
- Execute typical tasks including moving clusters, troubleshooting, and resolving host unresponsive issues
Requirements
- Best practices for architecting cross-datacenter Kubernetes clusters running on-premise with automated etcd management
- Profound knowledge of docker (docker-shim), containerd and runc internals at the kernel level
- Ability to manually troubleshoot and solve certificate issues within Kubernetes with zero downtime
- Thorough understanding of RPM based Linux systems
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP stack, DNS, CDN, load balancing, BGP)
- Ability to resolve complex merge conflicts in git
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, GPU)
Conditions
Schedule: CET/Eastern European time with some overlap of PST morning hours for daily reports
Location: Remote
