Summary
TED Audio Collective (part of TED Conferences) is expanding into video podcasts to meet audiences on YouTube and social platforms. The Video Editor will bring podcast conversations to life visually by editing full episodes and creating short-form and promotional content across multiple TED shows.
What you'll do
- Edit full-length video podcast episodes for YouTube with strong visual polish while preserving authentic conversational energy
- Create short-form clips and companion content optimized for YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
- Collaborate with the TED Audio team to establish and maintain a consistent visual identity across shows
- Work with producers and hosts to record high-quality video and audio
- Build and implement graphics packages, lower thirds, and other visual elements
- Manage color correction, audio synchronization, and quality control across deliverables
- Develop templates and scalable workflows for the TED Audio Collective portfolio
- Stay current on platform trends and best practices for video podcast content
Requirements
- 3+ years of video editing experience (podcast or interview-based content preferred)
- Experience editing for YouTube and social platforms with an understanding of platform-specific performance
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects skills (strong plus)
- Strong sense of pacing and ability to identify clip-worthy moments
- Ability to work independently while maintaining brand consistency
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Genuine interest in ideas, learning, and TED topics
Nice to have:
- Motion graphics and animation experience
- Familiarity with podcast production workflows
- Background in documentary or conversational content
