Program Manager, Women's Health

Akido Labs is an AI-native care provider combining clinical AI with a nationwide medical network to expand access to high-quality healthcare. The Program Manager, Women’s Health will build and run a dedicated Women’s Health track within Akido’s Enhanced Care Management (ECM) Safety Net Programs in Los Angeles, owning outreach, engagement, and care coordination through community partners. This role is field-facing and relationship-driven, managing community partnerships and a small team of community health workers to enroll and retain women in care.

• Design and execute outreach strategies to engage and enroll women eligible for ECM through community-based social service organizations, shelters, and other community settings.
• Build trust with women affected by trauma, system involvement, or housing instability using a meet-people-where-they-are approach.
• Plan and facilitate group sessions, wellness events, support groups, and engagement activities tailored to women.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners (community organizations serving women, family resource centers, shelters, etc.).
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure warm handoffs from outreach to enrolled care.
• Coordinate with medical providers to ensure patient health needs are met efficiently.
• Oversee care plans addressing medical, behavioral health, housing, legal, childcare, benefits, and safety needs.
• Ensure documentation meets quality and compliance standards.
• Run daily huddles, weekly case reviews, and care planning meetings.
• Track enrollment, engagement, and outcomes metrics and use data to adjust strategies.
• Supervise and coach a small team of community health workers focused on women’s health outreach and enrollment.
• Provide coaching on trauma-informed engagement, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction.
• Support hiring and onboarding as the program grows and lead by example in the field.

• 3+ years of direct outreach and engagement experience with women in safety-net, community health, or social services settings.
• 2+ years of experience managing front-line staff in community health, social services, or outreach settings.
• Ability to build trust and sustain engagement with women experiencing homelessness, substance use disorder (SUD), serious mental illness (SMI), domestic violence, or system involvement.
• Experience facilitating group sessions, workshops, or community events for women.
• Understanding of barriers to care for women (e.g., safety, childcare, transportation, distrust of systems, partner dynamics).
• Strong organizational skills, including managing a caseload, tracking metrics, and maintaining documentation.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.

• Preferred:

  • Experience in maternal/perinatal health, reproductive health, or DV/IPV services.
  • Familiarity with community-based social service organizations serving women in Los Angeles.
  • Advanced training or certification (e.g., MSW, LCSW, CHW certification, doula training, DV advocacy).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
