AsiaFinance Group is a fast-growing fintech company operating in Asia with a core business in digital consumer lending. The Business Development Manager (HQ) role drives commercial growth across multiple markets and business lines through market research, competitive analysis, and geographical expansion.
This position is a key contributor to AFG's long-term commercial strategy with strong potential for professional growth within the commercial and strategic development vertical.
What you'll do
- Market & Business Development: Explore, analyze, and implement opportunities supporting AFG's business growth and strategic initiatives. Conduct comprehensive competitor research, including mystery shopping activities, across current and potential markets. Perform ongoing market analysis to stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive shifts.
- Geographical Expansion & Marketing Support: Assist in the development and execution of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and commercial objectives. Lead the assessment and launch of new geographical markets, preparing feasibility studies, recommendations, and rollout plans. Analyze potential product opportunities for portfolio expansion, including market demand evaluation, profitability assessment, and risk analysis.
- Procurement & Project Management: Support procurement activities through supplier research, participation in negotiations, assistance with contracting, and relationship maintenance with commercial counterparties. Prepare analytical reports, presentations, business cases, and insights for senior management. Lead or support cross-functional projects related to business development and market expansion.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, strategy, market research, or a similar role
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and competitive intelligence
- Experience working in fintech, financial services, or high-growth technology companies (strong advantage)
- Proficiency in research tools, CRM/BD systems, and MS Office applications with strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- English level not lower than upper-intermediate
