Summary
Insight Global is seeking a curious, craft-driven Jr Designer to help create and evolve a client’s brand design systems and AI-assisted creative workflows, supporting Walmart’s brands at scale. The role focuses on producing high-quality omnichannel assets while balancing design excellence, brand governance, and emerging generative AI tools.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the design and evolution of omnichannel brand systems across packaging, retail, digital, and campaign touchpoints.
- Develop and refine logos, typography systems, iconography, illustration styles, color palettes, and layout frameworks under senior guidance.
- Partner with senior designers, copywriters, strategists, and cross-functional teams to concept and execute creative assets.
- Contribute to AI toolkits supporting the creative process (e.g., prompt libraries, workflow documentation, testing initiatives).
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Stay informed about trends in brand design, retail, culture, and generative AI tools; experiment with emerging AI workflows to improve efficiency and iteration.
- Explore how AI can scale creative systems while maintaining craft quality and brand integrity; share insights and recommendations with the team.
- Follow brand guidelines and governance guardrails; ensure outputs meet standards for typography, layout, accessibility, compliance, and brand consistency.
- Document prompts, workflows, and version histories for AI-generated work.
- Contribute to projects from concept through production with increasing autonomy; manage smaller workstreams or components of larger initiatives.
- Support pilots, workshops, and day-to-day production needs; deliver organized, production-ready files on time.
- Balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience as a Designer.
- Strong foundation in typography, layout, composition, color, and visual systems.
- Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design process, systems thinking, attention to detail, and strategic alignment.
- Experience working within established brand guidelines.
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with generative AI tools (text and/or image-based) and iterative prompt exploration.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google Slides, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Nice to have: motion design/After Effects and/or illustration skills.
- Nice to have: experience creating mock-ups or simple 3D visualizations.
- Nice to have: experience contributing to scalable design systems.
