What you'll do
- Implement and maintain embedded firmware for medical devices under guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support software development processes
- Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality
- Contribute to documentation of firmware specifications
- Support integration of security features in embedded systems
- Assist in debugging and testing phases alongside senior engineers
- Analyze system performance and suggest improvements
- Develop test plans for firmware validation
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges
Requirements
Must Have:
- 5+ years of embedded C on ARM MCUs
- UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO integration experience
- RTOS experience (FreeRTOS or CMSIS-RTOS)
- IAR Workbench and SWD debugging
- Secure Boot concepts (hash and signature verification)
- NAND and Flash data management
- Git branching and code review workflow
Nice to Have:
- Cellular modems (u-blox SARA-R4/R5)
- OTA update flow experience
- AES/HMAC cryptography libraries (mbedTLS)
- Python for testing and firmware tools
- FDA/IEC 62304 development environment experience
