PHP Backend Developer

Akurateco is a white-label payment software provider with over 15 years of experience in the fintech industry operating in more than 100 countries. We are seeking a PHP Backend Developer to develop and maintain functional modules and services for our Akurateco Cashier platform supporting various businesses globally.

• Develop and maintain specific functional modules and services
• Develop and implement integrations with external payment systems and third-party services
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, including unit tests
• Actively participate in technical discussions, sprint planning, and team decision-making processes
• Participate in refactoring and optimization of the existing codebase to improve performance and reliability

• Minimum 2-3 years of commercial software development experience
• Proven working experience with PHP 7.4+ (8.x is a strong plus)
• Practical experience with Symfony framework
• Deep understanding of core software development principles (OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID)
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code
• Intermediate (B1-B2) English level or higher for active team communication
• Nice to have: Experience integrating with external Payment Service Providers (PSPs), familiarity with code quality tools (PHPMD, PHPCPD), experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
