Social Video Editor (Part-time)

Her Campus Media, a Gen Z-focused media and marketing ecosystem, is seeking a talented Social Video Editor to join their social media team part-time. The role focuses on editing engaging social-first video content for their portfolio of brands including Her Campus, Spoon University, and College Fashionista.

What you'll do

Create engaging social-first video edits using mobile editing tools from original and sourced footage; make creative decisions on framing, cutaways, zooms, sound effects, captions, and text; optimize content for different social platforms; redirect complex edits to Adobe Premiere Pro when needed; establish and maintain video workflow including archiving and organizing footage; maintain video production calendar in Asana; quality control deliverables; monitor social media trends and identify content repurposing opportunities.

Requirements

1+ years short-form video editing experience; proficiency in mobile video editing tools (Capcut, Prequel, Edits, Canva); intermediate Adobe Premiere Pro skills; basic understanding of color correction, audio mixing, motion design, and multi-cam editing; strong understanding of effective social media video; ability to work on tight deadlines; collaborative mindset; digital media organization experience preferred; social media experience preferred; must be eligible to work in the United States.

Conditions

Remote position within the United States; part-time, 20 hours per week across 3-4 set shifts; $26-29 per hour ($5,200 monthly based on 20 hours/week); no visa sponsorship available; portfolio or examples of previous social video work required in application
