AI-Driven Full-Stack WordPress Developer

Upstaff is seeking an AI-driven full-stack WordPress developer to build and maintain a premium hedge fund intelligence platform. This hybrid role combines Python/PostgreSQL ETL pipelines, REST APIs, AI tools (LLMs), and custom WordPress features to deliver interactive investor letters, reports, and institutional-grade insights at retail prices.

• Audit and optimize WordPress infrastructure for performance, security, and caching; manage subscriber access
• Build ETL pipelines for large financial data import and transformation using PostgreSQL and Python/Pandas/Airflow
• Create REST APIs to serve data for dynamic tables, grids, and reports
• Develop WordPress custom plugins, themes, and blocks for interactive data displays and subscriber features
• Automate data workflows and iterate on user-facing features
• Integrate AI tools (LLMs) for data summarization and querying

• 3+ years of development experience (full-stack or backend-heavy)
• Solid WordPress expertise (custom plugins, REST API, optimization)
• Strong Python proficiency (ETL, APIs: FastAPI)
• SQL and PostgreSQL experience
• AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Serverless, and Lambda knowledge
• JavaScript and frontend libraries for tables/grids (DataTables, Chart.js)
• Hands-on AI integration (LLMs, prompt engineering, summarization/NLP)
• B2/C1 English level with several hours of overlap with North America (EST)
• Bonus: Financial data experience, Docker, cloud expertise, hedge fund knowledge

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time (30-40 hours/week) with several hours US Timezone (EST) overlap
