Audiobook Narrator

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. They are hiring a contract Voice Actor/Audiobook Narrator to record high-quality voice samples for projects that support model training and related voice dataset needs.

• Record high-quality voice samples across diverse scripts (conversational, narrative, instructional).
• Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation.
• Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across sessions.
• Follow recording guidelines for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
• Provide multiple takes with variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when required.
• Review and self-QA recordings to minimize background noise, clipping, and artifacts.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine delivery based on model training needs.

• Native American English speaker currently based in the United States.
• Proven experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
• Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup (quality microphone, quiet environment, pop filter, etc.).
• Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range.
• Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery.
• Reliable availability for 10–20 hours per week over the project duration.

• Preferred: Experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets.

• Preferred: Familiarity with audio editing tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper).

• Preferred: Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles (conversational, corporate, energetic, calm).

• Contract role.
• Remote.
• Commitment: 10–20 hours per week.
• Compensation: $50–$60 per hour.
