They are hiring a MIG/TIG Aluminum Fabricator to operate fabrication equipment and perform welding to support fabrication, finishing, and installation work.
What you'll do
- Perform MIG and TIG welding and fabrication on aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.
- Operate a press brake: select proper dies, set up tooling, load programs, set machine parameters, and verify conformance to drawing tolerances.
- Lay out locations of holes, cutouts, and bends, allowing for welding and assembly needs.
- Set up and operate metal rolling and tube rolling machines to roll cylinders and cones for various designs.
- Operate an ironworker and select proper punches based on material thickness and type.
- Operate saws and verify cuts against the cut list using measurement tools/templates.
- Complete other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to weld and fabricate a variety of metal items using MIG and TIG processes.
- Knowledge of AWS procedures and welding positions.
- Experience operating saws, press brakes, and tube/metal rollers.
- Proficiency using an ironworker.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safe welding/fabricating practices.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents including bills of materials and drawings.
- Ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications (or equivalent).
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to write operating instructions in English.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
