Backend Developer (Node.js/TypeScript) VPN Service MVP

MoreApps is seeking a Backend Developer (Node.js/TypeScript) for a VPN Service MVP project. The role focuses on building robust backend infrastructure including API development, authentication systems, and subscription management for a VPN application.

• Develop Backend API using Node.js/TypeScript with authentication (email + OTP, JWT access/refresh tokens)
• Implement subscription management using Adapty webhooks with fallback verification
• Build VPN connection orchestration including peer creation/removal, session limits, and 30-min free session enforcement
• Manage server operations (CRUD, provisioning, status lifecycle, health monitoring)
• Handle user management features (search, block/unblock, soft-delete, activity export)
• Develop Admin Panel as internal web interface for managing VPN servers, users, and system health monitoring
• Coordinate with Server-side Agent (Go) for WireGuard peer management and health reporting
• Work with PostgreSQL and Prisma for database operations

• Strong expertise in Node.js/TypeScript
• PostgreSQL and Prisma experience
• Knowledge of WireGuard/AmneziaWG VPN technologies
• Go programming language experience
• AWS services (EC2, RDS) proficiency
• GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Understanding of authentication systems (JWT, OTP)
• Experience with subscription/payment systems integration
• API design and implementation skills

Project type: Part-time, Time & Materials (T&M) engagement. Work includes functional requirements documentation (120+ FR), sequence diagrams, API contracts, data models, NFR specifications, and infrastructure architecture design. Collaboration through Confluence documentation.
