Data Analyst

Summary

TeqAtlas is seeking a Data Analyst to build analytical logic for their product working with large-scale, socially structured datasets. The role focuses on exploratory analysis, data structuring, pattern identification, and contributing to search and matching mechanisms beyond traditional reporting analytics.

What you'll do

Perform exploratory analysis to identify patterns and signals affecting result quality; design and maintain controlled vocabularies; normalize and structure unorganized data; build and maintain hierarchies and entity relationships; contribute to search and matching analytical logic; formulate and validate hypotheses; evaluate data signal impacts; visualize and communicate findings to support product decisions; collaborate with founders and product team.

Requirements

5+ years as Data Analyst or similar role; advanced SQL with complex joins, aggregations, and optimization; strong Python/R experience (pandas, NumPy); BI tools proficiency (Tableau preferred); strong data visualization skills; critical thinking and hypothesis-driven approach; ability to work with ambiguous problems; experience with unstructured/semi-structured data; ability to design hierarchies and classifications; translate business questions into analytical models; high attention to detail. Nice to have: ETL and data pipeline experience, graph database familiarity (Neo4j), social/network/relationship-driven dataset experience.
