Middle Backend Developer (Node.js/Nest)

LineUp is a fast-growing IT outsourcing company with 13 years of experience seeking a Middle Backend Developer to join a long-term product project. You will work on a Smart City ecosystem product for the Middle East market in a fully agile, product-oriented environment with real users and tangible impact on urban infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain robust backend applications using Node.js and NestJS in monorepo and microservices environments
• Work with PostgreSQL (AWS RDS) and Redis to design, implement, and optimize database and caching solutions
• Develop and maintain integrations with AWS services including SQS, S3, Lambda, IAM, System Manager, EC2, and EKS/ECS
• Contribute to containerization and deployment processes using Docker and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitLab runners
• Implement monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana
• Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, optimizing code for performance and maintainability
• Participate in agile development and scrum events
• Mentor other team members and stay current with latest technologies

• Minimum 2 years of backend development experience with Node.js and NestJS
• Experience with PostgreSQL (AWS RDS) and Redis
• Knowledge of AWS services including SQS, S3, Lambda, IAM, EC2, and EKS/ECS
• Understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipelines with GitLab runners
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and monorepo environments
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in agile environment
• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with team members
• English at Upper-Intermediate level and above
• Plus: Frontend development experience (Next.js), automated testing knowledge (integration, E2E), willingness to work in T-shaped model
