Supply & Inventory Planning Planner

Summary

Nike’s Asia Pacific/Latin America (APLA) Supply & Inventory Management team is hiring a Supply & Inventory Planning Planner to support seasonal planning and execution for a territory. The role serves as the primary point of contact for supply planning and purchasing, ensuring the right products are planned and bought on time while managing risks and driving optimal inventory outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate the twice-monthly delivery planning process and ensure materials are planned and purchased on required timelines.
  • Execute and manage supply commitments through PO creation, maintenance of changes, and accuracy checks.
  • Ensure expected product movement from factory to distribution center (DC).
  • Analyze core business metrics (including PIFOT, Coverage, and Unplanned) to proactively identify challenges and communicate insights.
  • Support flow optimization decisions (M1/M2/M3) where relevant to the Mexico Territory.
  • Drive actions to maintain a healthy inventory position; escalate issues causing unfulfilled demand or delays.
  • Participate in unplanned resolution processes and recommend mitigations, including flow adjustments or expedite (FAF) considerations.
  • Collaborate with Territory Planning, Inventory Ops, Geography Sports Planning/Merch teams, and Global Supply Planning partners.
  • Participate on projects such as system releases as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of supply/inventory planning or supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent written, spoken, and visual communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts into clear narratives.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to extract insights from large datasets and create executive-ready storytelling.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query/Power Pivot, macros).
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, facilitation, and cross-functional/cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Ability to switch between strategic, tactical, and operational work; sound decision-making in ambiguity.
  • Comfort working in a complex, dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Preferred: SAP experience (PRA/PRD access, PO creation/cancellation including MPOs, order management reports).
  • Preferred: Experience with BHP, APO DP, STR (SAP live buy plan), and NikeConnect (PMD/PDP).
  • Plus: Experience working with distributor models or multi-stakeholder environments.

Conditions

  • Reports to the Supply & Inventory Management Territory Manager and works cross-functionally with multiple teams.
