Software Engineer in Test

MeGaDev is seeking a Software Engineer in Test specializing in Android applications to join their Account Mobile QA team in partnership with a global consulting enterprise. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure reliability, functionality, and performance of mobile products.

• Define, communicate, and implement effective test approaches
• Review and understand functional requirements, raising valid questions and risks early
• Collaborate closely with developers and QA engineers to ensure products meet specifications and quality goals
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks to validate functional and non-functional requirements
• Troubleshoot, reproduce, and verify reported defects, identifying root causes and providing detailed feedback
• Produce clear, concise reports demonstrating test coverage and product quality
• Communicate testing status, progress, and risks to stakeholders
• Follow QA best practices and contribute to process improvement within the team

• 2+ years of experience testing native Android applications
• Strong coding skills in Kotlin (Java experience is a plus)
• Hands-on experience writing automated tests with Espresso or similar Android testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of mobile testing practices, SDLC, and agile methodologies
• Proven collaboration with developers, UX designers, and product owners
• Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills
• Experience planning, executing, and reporting test strategies in agile, cross-functional teams
