HR Assistant - Remote
Summary
Lensa is promoting a contract HR Assistant opportunity on behalf of Aston Carter. The role supports the My HR Live Support team by delivering leave of absence, disability, and related HR services to employees, applicants, and candidates globally. You will act as a first point of contact to provide accurate, timely, and consistent support across phone, chat, and email channels.
What you'll do
Own employee contacts from acceptance through resolution with strong problem-solving and customer focus.
Handle inquiries via phone, chat, and email as the first point of contact for leave, disability, and related topics, including case intake and general policy questions.
Use FAQs, standard operating procedures, and other documentation to resolve inquiries; escalate issues when needed.
Build trust through empathetic, personalized conversations and adapt case management plans to changing employee needs.
Respond to employee-impacting issues during leave events and ensure appropriate communication and documentation.
Apply judgment and critical thinking to balance process adherence with employee needs when analyzing leave, disability, and accommodation requests.
Collaborate with partner teams to resolve cross-functional issues and support policy updates.
Requirements
Experience in human resources, customer service, or a call center environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong general computer skills.
Experience using phones and chat platforms.
Strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy.
Research skills to locate answers and information.
Ability to adjust to changing workloads and manage contacts in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information and adhere to strict data privacy policies.
Detail-oriented with strong analysis, organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Conditions
Contract role.
Fully remote (100% remote); expected to be on camera during training and nesting.
Must have a dedicated space at home to perform responsibilities.
Pay: $21.00/hour (approx. $3,640/month based on 40 hours/week).
