Summary
Jubilee Media is a people-centered media company focused on provoking understanding and creating human connection through impactful stories. The Thumbnail Designer will create and optimize high-performing YouTube thumbnails for Jubilee and Nectar, using strong design craft and performance data to drive clicks and shape audience experience.
What you'll do
Concept and design thumbnails for Jubilee and Nectar brands.
Develop and manage photography shot lists; coordinate with on-set photographers to capture needed assets.
Provide creative direction for thumbnails and packaging during greenlight processes.
Use AI tools when needed to enhance or improve creative assets.
Manage an A/B testing workflow; track performance and report results to continuously improve CTR.
Study thumbnail/packaging trends and best practices; adjust creative strategy as platform and audience behavior evolves.
Collaborate with production, brand, and marketing teams to ensure designs align with goals and audience insights.
Manage freelance thumbnail designers and coordinate on-set photographers.
Enhance RAW photography with manual color correction, lighting/shadow adjustments, and white balance.
Blend photo assets and match lighting/compositions from differently lit images.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience designing thumbnails, preferably for YouTube.
Expert-level Adobe Photoshop skills.
Experience enhancing RAW photography and blending/compositing assets.
Comfortable using AI tools to support creative workflows.
Ability to manage production assets, coordinate photographers, and guide freelancers.
Data-informed approach with experience running A/B tests and making decisions to improve CTR.
Strong collaboration and communication skills; proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Conditions
Hybrid work model: 3 days/week in the office and 2 days/week remote.
