Summary

Critical Fit Recruiting is seeking a Senior Vice President of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain operations after a customer places an order across a distribution network in the US and Canada. The role defines long-term supply and operating strategy, builds a leadership team, and drives standardization and best-in-class execution to improve efficiency, service levels, and operating margin.

What you'll do

  • Set supply chain strategy and execute plans to increase profitability, productivity, and efficiency while delivering world-class customer service.

  • Lead and oversee multi-site distribution center operations, maximizing throughput for receiving, order fulfillment, and returns processing while establishing productivity metrics and a strong safety culture.

  • Build and lead inventory management capabilities to achieve high service levels, optimize inventory turns/ROI, and align stocking strategies to product velocity, seasonality, and cost-to-serve.

  • Manage vendor selection, negotiation, and performance; develop and enforce vendor compliance programs.

  • Negotiate and manage parcel, truck, and ocean freight partnerships; apply best practices and technology to reduce cost and delivery time and improve shipment visibility.

  • Oversee order flow and after-sales support; implement policies, process updates, and technology changes to improve customer satisfaction and reduce overall costs.

  • Partner cross-functionally to gather and document business requirements; collaborate with the CIO on software development or third-party software acquisition and co-lead implementation with IT.

  • Project-manage high-impact initiatives, organize teams, track benchmarks, and present continuous improvement recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • Senior executive leadership experience across supply chain operations including warehousing, logistics/transportation, purchasing, inventory management, and customer service.

  • Proven ability to lead multi-site distribution center networks and drive measurable improvements in operating metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, inventory turns, same-day shipping, reduced mis-shipments, fewer customer service calls).

  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills across freight modes (small parcel, truck, ocean) and service providers, including building compliance programs.

  • Demonstrated capability in cross-functional leadership and collaboration with IT/CIO on process redesign and technology/software implementations.

  • Track record of building leadership teams, developing talent, and creating a high-safety, high-performance culture.
