Summary
Quantori is seeking a UNIX/Linux Support Team Lead to serve as the single point of contact between the support team and client's technical management. This leadership role focuses on overseeing day-to-day operations, mentoring L2 engineers, and ensuring efficient service delivery in an enterprise Linux environment.
What you'll do
- Act as SPOC between Quantori support team and client's technical management
- Oversee day-to-day operations including queue management, ticket ownership, and SLA adherence
- Conduct daily handovers, priority reviews, and incident coordination with on-site and remote engineers
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L2 support engineers
- Monitor team workload and distribute assignments to maintain balance
- Drive continuous improvement through ticket analysis and automation initiatives
- Manage client communications for operations, escalations, and service improvements
- Coordinate knowledge transfer sessions and onboarding for new engineers
- Facilitate collaboration between L2 and L3 teams and cross-functional alignment
- Ensure operational procedures, SOPs, and knowledge articles are updated
- Generate weekly and monthly service performance reports with KPIs and SLA metrics
- Track ticket backlog, closure rates, and recurring issues
- Contribute to service documentation including playbooks and escalation matrices
- Oversee patching and maintenance execution schedules
- Validate queue hygiene and ticket categorization in ServiceNow
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours critical production incidents
- Support post-incident analysis and reporting
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration or support
- Minimum 2 years in a team lead or technical coordinator role
- Strong technical background in enterprise Linux/Unix operations with team leadership experience
- Proficiency with RHEL 6–9 and Ubuntu 20/22/24
- Working knowledge of AIX, HP-UX, and Solaris
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESX, GPFS, and LSF
- Exposure to OpenShift and RStudio environments
- Understanding of Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, and shell scripting
- Experience with ServiceNow and TrueSight/PATROL monitoring tools
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Engineer (RHCE) Certification
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to lead remote teams in SLA-driven environments
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
