Logistics Coordinator

Summary

Fameccanica North America (Angelini Technologies) is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage and streamline global supply chain and international trade operations. The role focuses on import/export execution, trade compliance, and accurate logistics data management using SAP ERP. This position supports operational efficiency and regulatory compliance across global shipments.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate international import/export shipments, prepare and process shipping and customs documentation, and support customs clearance with brokers and agencies.

  • Assign HTS codes, classify goods accurately, and maintain current knowledge of tariffs, trade agreements, and international regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Manage local/domestic carrier and 3PL relationships, negotiate rates, monitor performance, and optimize service levels.

  • Use SAP ERP to ensure accurate logistics data entry, reporting, and system updates.

  • Monitor tariffs and regulatory requirements (including Section 232/301), process related documentation, and collaborate on adherence to global trade laws.

  • Analyze logistics costs, propose process improvements, and optimize freight selection based on market trends.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for logistics and trade compliance stakeholders, building partnerships with brokers, carriers, and advisors.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, import/export, or customs compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of HTS codes, tariffs, Section 232 documentation, and country-specific trade regulations.

  • Familiarity with free trade agreements, country-of-origin rules, and the first sale rule.

  • Demonstrated experience with SAP ERP systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preferred: customs compliance certifications (e.g., CCS, CTPAT).

  • Preferred: knowledge of ISF, customs valuation, and trade preferences.

  • Preferred: experience with international transportation providers (ocean, air, ground).

  • Preferred: working knowledge of cargo insurance and claims processes.
