Director, Operations Strategy
Summary
Create Wellness is building a category-defining wellness brand and is hiring a Director, Operations Strategy. The role leads high-impact strategic initiatives across Operations to improve cost structure, simplify complexity, strengthen systems, and increase operational performance. You will act as an embedded internal strategy partner driving analytical rigor and disciplined execution across cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end execution of high-priority operations projects, including cost savings initiatives, process redesign efforts, systems implementations, and sustaining operational improvements.
- Define project scope, build workplans, drive timelines, and ensure delivery against defined objectives with minimal oversight.
- Partner with the VP of Operations and leadership to evaluate opportunities, pressure-test assumptions, escalate risks early, and align stakeholders.
- Identify and size opportunities to improve COGS, simplify the SKU portfolio, and reduce operational complexity.
- Build financial models to quantify savings, tradeoffs, and ROI; translate analysis into clear execution plans.
- Lead implementation of new operational systems and redesign core workflows to improve visibility, accountability, and scalability.
- Translate business needs into structured requirements and drive disciplined execution.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve inventory efficiency and working capital while protecting service levels, aligning recommendations with Finance and Operations.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in consulting, startup operations, private equity portfolio operations, or related roles with ownership of cross-functional initiatives.
Advanced financial modeling skills, including detailed financial models and ROI analyses to support operational decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects end-to-end with minimal oversight, driving timelines, deliverables, and accountability.
Highly analytical and structured problem-solving ability; capable of turning ambiguity into clear workstreams and decisions.
Experience improving operational systems and/or redesigning workflows to increase efficiency and scalability.
Ability to influence and collaborate across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and senior leadership.
Strong executive communication skills, including presenting analyses and recommendations to senior leaders.
