Fine Art Specialist | $98/hr - Remote

Crossing Hurdles is hiring a remote Fine Art Specialist (Fine Artist) on an hourly contract basis. The role creates and curates original artwork and documents creative decisions to support AI training workflows and AI-enhanced art initiatives.

• Create and curate original artwork using traditional and digital media (e.g., ink, watercolor, charcoal, oil, digital tools).
• Apply visual elements (line, space, mass, color, perspective) to communicate concepts, emotions, and moods for AI training.
• Collaborate with clients, writers, editors, art directors, and internal teams to define objectives and deliverables.
• Analyze and document creative processes to provide clear input for AI learning workflows.
• Maintain an up-to-date professional portfolio showcasing diverse styles and capabilities.
• Communicate artistic decisions and methodologies clearly in written and verbal formats.
• Support promotion of AI-enhanced artwork through digital portfolios, online channels, or marketing materials as needed.

• Proven experience in fine arts, illustration, painting, sculpture, or related visual disciplines.
• Proficiency with traditional art techniques and digital tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain creative concepts clearly.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative teams.
• Excellent eye for detail, aesthetics, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to manage and present a diverse artistic portfolio.
• Interest in the intersection of art and AI, with willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
