Equipment Intern
Summary
Los Angeles Lakers are seeking an Equipment Intern to support Basketball Operations by helping manage and deliver equipment services for players and staff at the practice facility and home arena. The role focuses on maintaining organized inventory and ensuring equipment needs are met responsively to support on-court performance and brand activities.
What you'll do
Support the Head Equipment Manager by organizing inventory and supplies, outfitting players and staff, and washing game and practice gear.
Set up equipment for games and practices.
Assist with transportation logistics including unloading the equipment truck and managing luggage.
Ensure equipment availability for visiting teams.
Provide equipment support for team business activities such as sponsorship film shoots and season ticketholder events.
Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
Current undergraduate student or recent college graduate.
1 year experience in a customer-facing role.
1 year experience working with a sports team (preferred).
Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desire to work in sports business.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Conditions
Part-time: 20–30 hours per week, with additional evening and weekend hours.
Work locations include practice facility in El Segundo and Crypto.com Arena for home games.
Pay rate: $18.00/hour.
