Senior Backend Engineer (NestJS)

PUSHIT is a sports-tech startup building an AI-powered platform that automatically generates highlights from live sports games using IoT devices, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure. We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join as a key team member working across our entire tech stack from embedded systems to cloud infrastructure.

• Build and scale backend services using Node.js with NestJS
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployments
• Collaborate on IoT integrations involving Raspberry Pi and IP camera systems
• Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire stack
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Work with AI coding solutions (Claude Code / Cursor)

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• 3+ years experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, etc.)
• 2+ years experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with NestJS framework
• Experience with TypeORM
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
• Knowledge of architectural principles, coding standards, design patterns and best practices
• High-level English proficiency
