Summary
Black Briar Management is a Miami-based operator of luxury condo-hotels, high-end residential communities, and hospitality-focused real estate assets. The People & Culture Manager will serve as the on-the-ground HR leader, building scalable people infrastructure while partnering closely with property leadership and the VP, People & Culture.
What you'll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for property-level and administrative roles, from job posting through offer.
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines to ensure continuous coverage for current and upcoming openings.
- Partner with PEO recruiters to source, screen, and advance candidates through the hiring process.
- Manage job postings across ATS and external platforms; keep job descriptions current.
- Conduct Spanish-language candidate interviews and screens for bilingual talent pools.
- Execute a structured, culturally aligned onboarding experience for each new hire.
- Ensure new employees are fully set up for success (systems, access, introductions, first 30 days).
- Coordinate property tours and team introductions for new property staff.
- Serve as first point of contact for employee support and manager guidance.
- Partner with the PEO on escalations, compliance matters, and HR documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records; support time & attendance processes and benefits administration.
- Ensure HR policies and the employee handbook are applied consistently across all properties.
- Proactively identify workforce trends, retention risks, and morale issues and flag them to leadership.
- Support rollout and continuous improvement of the training program.
- Coordinate role-specific and property-specific training for new hires.
- Partner with property GMs to identify skill gaps and coaching opportunities.
- Help build career pathways and development plans for field-level team members.
- Act as the day-to-day liaison with the PEO across HR functions; keep operations running efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with Florida and federal employment law requirements.
Requirements
- Required: Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Required: 4+ years of experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
- Required: Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Required: Miami-based and able to work on site across multiple property locations.
- Required: Comfortable operating as the primary/sole HR presence and owning routine HR operations.
- Required: Experience with, or strong aptitude for, PEO-managed HR environments.
- Required: Strong relationship-building skills and ability to earn trust across levels.
- Preferred: Background in hospitality, luxury residential, or real estate operations.
- Preferred: Experience supporting a multi-site or multi-property workforce.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Vensure, ADP, or similar PEO/HRIS platforms.
- Preferred: Experience with Monday.com, ATS platforms, or digital onboarding tools.
- Preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent HR certification.
