DevOps Engineer

Devico is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of commercial experience to join their full-time team. The company builds technology for sustainability and carbon management, providing advanced tools to help businesses reduce emissions and optimize operations.

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipeline
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security using DataDog
• Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and IT staff to manage code releases
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Automate and streamline operations and processes
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipeline
• Expertise in monitoring and performance management using DataDog
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Upper-intermediate English level or higher
• Preferred: AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications; experience with other monitoring tools; knowledge of cloud security best practices; familiarity with Jenkins or GitLab CI
