Instructional Design Intern

Summary

Inogen is seeking an Instructional Design Intern to support the Enterprise Enablement Learning & Development team in creating effective corporate training. This hands-on internship focuses on helping design, build, and improve learning experiences such as eLearning, videos, job aids, and facilitator materials.

What you'll do

  • Assist with the design and development of eLearning modules, microlearning, and training materials.

  • Organize and structure content based on learning objectives and audience needs.

  • Support storyboard creation, content outlines, and script development.

  • Edit and update existing training materials (slides, job aids, guides, etc.).

  • Learn and apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.

  • Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders during brainstorming, reviews, and project meetings.

  • Help with basic multimedia tasks such as slide design, simple graphics, or video support.

  • Participate in feedback cycles and revisions to improve learning effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Basic familiarity with PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar tools.

  • Preferred: exposure to eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, iSpring, etc.).

  • Preferred: familiarity with Canva, Adobe tools, or basic graphic design.

  • Preferred: interest in video, animation, or multimedia learning.

  • Preferred: understanding of adult learning principles or ADDIE/5D models.

Conditions

  • Location: onsite.

  • Duration: immediate start date through Summer 2026.

  • Hours: up to 25 hours per week.

  • Compensation: expected base pay range $21.19 to $23.37 per hour (individualized based on skills, education, experience, and market location).
