QA Engineer - ASAP

Summary

GenSoft is seeking a QA Engineer to join a cross-functional product team building high-quality reporting and analytics modules within a modern SaaS platform. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, accuracy, and usability of new product features by validating end-to-end user flows and data integrity. This greenfield project offers the opportunity to influence testing approaches and shape quality standards for an important international product.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute end-to-end test plans for reporting and analytics features
  • Create and maintain test cases in Jira
  • Validate full user workflows across frontend and backend systems
  • Validate reporting dashboards and analytics views
  • Validate data flow from backend APIs to frontend UI
  • Perform regression testing for sprint releases
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Support regression testing before releases
  • Contribute to the development of E2E automation coverage where applicable
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies and raise quality concerns early
  • Work closely with frontend and backend engineers to identify issues early and ensure smooth releases

Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and executing end-to-end tests for web applications
  • Solid experience with Jira and QA processes in agile teams
  • Experience validating frontend/backend integration
  • Ability to clearly identify, document, and communicate the root cause of issues
  • Experience working with API-driven systems
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with E2E automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
  • Beneficial: experience simulating unstable network conditions or connectivity disruptions during testing
  • Beneficial: understanding of or practical experience with automated test pipelines

Business & Delivery:

  • English level C1 or higher
  • Experience working in distributed remote teams
  • Comfortable working in a SCRUM environment
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of quality
  • Curiosity and persistence in identifying issues
  • Strong communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Proactive mindset in identifying risks and improving QA processes

Conditions

Schedule: 8 hours per day with availability required during UK business hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM UK time)

Location: Fully remote

Engagement: Start date as soon as possible; Initial contract term until August 2026 with possibility of extension

Equipment Provided: Mac laptop (Jamf-managed) with M2 or newer processor, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB storage

Onboarding: Structured 4-week onboarding plan with HR and manager

Compliance: NDA signing and security training required, plus ongoing monthly learning modules
