Summary

TopDog Law is a nationally scaling personal injury law firm building a high-performance, high-trust culture as it grows rapidly across the United States. The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead and scale a proactive, programmatic recruiting function, building systems and talent programs that enable earlier planning and more effective hiring. The role reports to the Chief People Officer and is expected to expand into broader People/HR leadership over time.

What you'll do

  • Lead day-to-day direction and performance of the recruiting function across the business and manage recruiters with clear workflows, priorities, and accountability.
  • Build structure and visibility across open roles, pipeline health, interview progress, and hiring decisions; improve consistency of hiring processes across teams.
  • Design, own, and execute talent programs and pipeline initiatives (e.g., internship strategy, campus outreach, conference recruiting, targeted sourcing) with repeatable systems for planning and evaluation.
  • Serve as project manager for major recruiting initiatives and hiring process improvements; align stakeholders, drive timelines, remove blockers, and ensure follow-through.
  • Partner with workforce planning and business leaders to maintain accurate hiring data (headcount, role status, pipeline updates, forecasts) and support proactive planning.
  • Improve intake, role kickoff, interview process management, feedback collection, and hiring decision coordination; help hiring managers stay organized and responsive.
  • Track and report core recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, funnel health, source effectiveness, bottlenecks) and use data to identify trends, risks, and planning opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting operations, talent programs, workforce planning support, or related People functions.
  • Experience managing recruiting workflows, timelines, and stakeholder coordination in a fast-growth environment.
  • Experience building or running programs such as internships, campus recruiting, events, or strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to drive execution across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience maintaining and using hiring/workforce data to support proactive planning.
  • Highly organized, execution-focused, proactive, detail-oriented, dependable; comfortable using data to drive planning and follow-up; able to build structure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Interest in growing into broader People/HR leadership over time.

Conditions

  • Location: Remote (United States).
  • Compensation: Pay range $140,000–$180,000 USD per year.
