Designer – Interiors – Junior
Summary
Gensler is hiring a Junior Interior Designer to help create functionally beautiful, engaging interior spaces for clients. The role combines creativity, technical design execution, and collaboration to deliver interior design concepts from programming through construction documentation.
What you'll do
Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation.
Participate in selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
Generate plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts.
Coordinate and work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school.
0–2 years of interior design experience.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
Strong graphics and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
