HR Generalist

Summary

Instacart is transforming the grocery industry by providing delivery services and flexible earning opportunities. The HR Generalist will support HR Business Partner functions by handling employee relations, compensation matters, and driving HR initiatives to enable business growth.

What you'll do

Advise and coach first-time managers on employee relations, compensation, performance management, and HR policies; partner on larger projects and organizational changes; identify and recommend improvements to HR programs and processes; manage new hire onboarding logistics; conduct exit interviews and support offboarding; stay current on state HR laws and practices; manage employee relations and respond to benefits and policy questions.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years HR experience in fast-growing organizations; knowledge of HR federal and state laws and regulations; ability to handle multiple priorities in rapidly-changing environment; strong attention to detail and organization; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; experience as the face of HR to managers and employees; proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office; BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Remote, Flex First work policy allowing work from home, office, or flexible locations with regular in-person events; base pay ranges from $104,000-$131,000 USD depending on location (CA, NY, CT, NJ: $124,000-$131,000; WA: $119,000-$125,000; OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $114,000-$120,000; all other states: $104,000-$109,500); eligible for new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants; market-competitive benefits package.
